✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ with some women to give him allegiance. We said: 'O Messenger of God, we give you allegiance that we will not associate anything with God, will not steal, will not commit adultery, will not bring slander we fabricate between our hands and feet, and will not disobey you in what is right.' He said: 'In what you are able and capable of.' She said: We said: 'God and His Messenger are more merciful to us than we are to ourselves. Come, let us give you allegiance, O Messenger of God.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'I do not shake hands with women; my word to a hundred women is like my word to one woman.'
