✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bathed from janabah, he would begin by washing his hands, then pour water with his right hand over his left and wash his private part. Then he would strike the ground with his hand and wipe it, then wash it, then perform wudu as for prayer. Then he would pour water over his head and the rest of his body, then move aside and wash his feet.

machine translationAl-Aʿmash narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū Muʿāwiyah, Wakīʿ, Ḥafṣ, ʿĪsā b. Yūnus, al-Thawrī, Abū Ḥamzah al-Sukkarī and Muḥāḍir narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Sālim, from Kurayb, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from Maymūnah. Abū Wakīʿ narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Sālim, from Kurayb, from Maymūnah, and he omitted Ibn ʿAbbās from it. The first is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
