حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَوْنٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ

قَالَ مَرْوَانُ: كَيْفَ نَسْأَلُ أَحَدًا عَنْ شَيْءٍ وَفِينَا أَزْوَاجُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ؟ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَسَأَلَهَا، فَقَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَنَشَلْتُ لَهُ كَتِفًا مِنْ قِدْرٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ

Translation

✧ Marwān said: How can we ask anyone about something when the wives of the Prophet ﷺ are among us? So he sent to Umm Salamah and asked her, and she said: The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon me and I took out for him a shoulder [of meat] from a pot, and he ate from it; then he went out to prayer.
