✧ While I was lying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ under the velvet cover, I menstruated. I slipped away and took my menstrual clothes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'Have you menstruated?' I said, 'Yes.' He called me, and I lay with him under the velvet cover. She and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to bathe from a single vessel after major ritual impurity, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to kiss her while fasting.

machine translationThe hadith of Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr is more likely correct than the hadith of ʿUqayl. My father said: "al-Zuhrī was too precise for something like this to escape him, but I fear that ʿUqayl did not transmit it from him accurately."
