✧ When the Emigrants came to Madinah and stayed with the Anṣār, they married their women. The Emigrants used to practice intercourse from the front [lit. would make the woman face downward], while the Anṣār did not. A man among the Emigrants wanted his wife to do that, but she refused until she asked the Prophet ﷺ. She said: She came to him but was too shy to ask him, so Umm Salamah asked him. Then it was revealed: ‘Your wives are a tilth for you, so come to your tilth as you will.’ And he said, “No, except in one orifice.”
