حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ

وَالَّذِي تَوَفَّى نَفْسَهُ، مَا مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَتَّى كَانَتْ أَكْثَرُ صَلَاتِهِ قَاعِدًا إِلَّا الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ، وَكَانَ أَحَبُّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَيْهِ الَّذِي يَدُومُ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيرًا

Translation

Chain of narrators

  5. Um Salamah Zawj al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ By the One Who took his soul, the Prophet ﷺ did not die until most of his prayer was performed sitting, except for the obligatory prayer. The most beloved deed to him was that which a servant does persistently, even if it was small.
