✧ I said to the Prophet ﷺ, 'Why are we not mentioned in the Quran as men are mentioned?' She said, 'Nothing startled me from him [one day] except his call from the pulpit.' She said, 'I was combing my hair, so I wrapped up my hair and went out [to my chamber, the chamber of my house]. I put my ear near the palm branches, and there he was saying at the pulpit: 'O people, Allah says in His Book: 'Indeed the Muslim men and the Muslim women, the believing men and the believing women' — to the end of the verse — 'Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward.'
