machine translationThe defect (ʿillah) of this report is the aforementioned Mussah, who is called Umm Busah; her condition and identity are not known, and she is not known outside this ḥadīth. Al-Tirmidhī said this in his ʿIlal. He said: so her report is weak in its chain (isnād) and objectionable in its text (munkar al-matn).

machine translationMuḥammad b. Ismāʿīl praised this ḥadīth of Mussah and said: this Mussah is Azdiyyah, the name of Abū Sahl is Kathīr b. Ziyād, and ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-Aʿlā is trustworthy (thiqah).

    in مسند أحمد, p. 27182
  • al-Bukhari

    in مسند أحمد, p. 27182
  • Ibn al-Qaṭṭān

  • M. ibn Ḥibbān al-Bustī
