حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي حُجْرَةِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، فَمَرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ - أَوْ عُمَرُ - فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا. قَالَ: فَرَجَعَ. قَالَ: فَمَرَّتِ ابْنَةُ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا، قَالَ: فَمَضَتْ. فَلَمَّا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: هُنَّ أَغْلَبُ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was praying in the room of Umm Salamah, and 'Abdullah—or 'Umar—passed in front of him, so he gestured with his hand like this. He said: So he returned. He said: Then the daughter of Umm Salamah passed, and he gestured with his hand like this. He said: So she continued. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished praying, he said: 'They (women) are more overpowering.'
