✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her while a mukhannath was with her, and her brother 'Abd Allah b. Abi Umayyah was also with her. The mukhannath said to 'Abd Allah: 'O 'Abd Allah b. Abi Umayyah, if Allah grants you victory over al-Ta'if tomorrow, then you must have the daughter of Ghaylan, for she faces you with four and turns away with eight.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard him and said to Umm Salamah: 'This one must never enter upon you.'

machine translationHishām b. ʿUrwah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Wakīʿ, Jarīr, ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr and Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated it from Hishām, from his father, from Zaynab, from Umm Salamah. Saʿīd b. Abī Maryam narrated it from Mālik, from Hishām, from his father, from Umm Salamah, without mentioning Zaynab. The companions of Mālik contradicted him: they narrated it from Mālik, from Hishām, from his father, as a mursal report (mursal).
