حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخَطَّابِيُّ فِي سَنَةِ ثَمَانٍ وَمِائَتَيْنِقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّقِّيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ يَعْنِي الْجَزَرِيَّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
كَانَ إِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَحَرَّمَ الطَّعَامَ، وَكَانَ لَا يُؤَذِّنُ حَتَّى يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ

✧ It is reported that the Prophet ﷺ used to pray two units of prayer after the call to prayer, and he would prohibit eating. He would not call for the prayer until dawn approached.
