حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

وَحَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ - وَكَانَتْ سَاعَةً لَا يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهِ فِيهَا أَحَدٌ - أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ حِينَ يَطْلُعُ الْفَجْرُ - تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ -، وَيُنَادِي الْمُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ. قَالَ أَيُّوبُ: أُرَاهُ قَالَ: خَفِيفَتَيْنِ

Translation

✧ Hafsah told me that there was an hour during which no one would enter upon the Prophet ﷺ, and during this hour, he used to pray two Rak'ahs when the Fajr (dawn) would rise and the Mu'adhdhin would call for prayer. Ayyub said, "I think he meant the two quick Rak'ahs."
