✧ He saw ʿAbdullah b. al-Zubayr lead them in prayer, gesturing with his palms when he stood, when he bowed, when he prostrated, and when he rose to stand; he would stand and gesture with his hands. He said: I went to Ibn ʿAbbas and said: I saw Ibn al-Zubayr praying a prayer the like of which I have not seen anyone pray. I described to him this gesturing. He said: If you would like to see the prayer of the Prophet ﷺ, then follow the prayer of Ibn al-Zubayr.
