حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ بَيْتِي فِي إِزَارٍ وَرِدَاءٍ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَبَسَطَ يَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ فَأَيُّ عَبْدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ شَتَمْتُ، أَوْ آذَيْتُ فَلَا تُعَاقِبْنِي فِيهِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me in my house wearing a waist-wrapper and a cloak, then he faced the qiblah and spread out his hands, then said: 'O Allah, I am only a human being, so whichever of Your servants I have insulted or harmed, do not punish me for it.'
