حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ تَوَضَّأَ [وُضُوءَهُ ] لِلصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ صَبَّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ يُخَلِّلُ بِأَصَابِعِهِ أُصُولَ الشَّعَرِ

Translation

✧ The Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ, used to perform ablution before praying when he wanted to cleanse himself from a state of impurity. He would then pour water onto his head three times, running his fingers through the roots of his hair.
