حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَيْمَنُ بْنُ نَابِلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي لَيْثٍ عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَقْرَبٍ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

عَلَيْكُمْ بِالتَّلْبِينِ الْبَغِيضِ النَّافِعِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُ يَغْسِلُ بَطْنَ أَحَدِكُمْ كَمَا يَغْسِلُ أَحَدُكُمْ وَجْهَهُ بِالْمَاءِ مِنَ الْوَسَخِ. وَقَالَتْ: كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى مِنْ أَهْلِهِ إِنْسَانٌ لَا تَزَالُ الْبُرْمَةُ عَلَى النَّارِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدُ طَرَفَيْهِ، وَقَالَ: يَعْنِي رَوْحٌ بِبَغْدَادَ كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ شَيْئًا لَا تَزَالُ.

✧ Upon you is talbina, the disliked yet beneficial. By the One in whose hand is my soul, it cleanses the belly of one of you just as one of you washes his face with water from dirt. She said: When someone of his family fell ill, the pot would not cease to be on the fire until one of its two ends came to him. And he said: meaning Rawh in Baghdad—when someone of his family complained of something, it would not cease.
