حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِأُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَائِشَةَ: كَيْفَ كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ؟ قَالَتْ: كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، وَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَائِمًا يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ كَأَنَّهُ يُوقِظُنَا بَلْ يُوقِظُنَا، ثُمَّ يَدْعُو بِدُعَاءٍ يُسْمِعُنَا، ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ تَسْلِيمَةً يَرْفَعُ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ

✧ I said to the Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah: 'How was the night prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' She said: 'He would pray 'Isha',' and she mentioned the hadith, 'and he would pray two rak'ahs standing, raising his voice as if he were waking us, indeed waking us. Then he would supplicate with a supplication that we could hear, then he would say one salam, raising his voice with it.'
