حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَاشِرَ إِحْدَانَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ أَمَرَهَا فَاتَّزَرَتْ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to be intimate with one of us while she was menstruating, he would order her to wrap a waistcloth around her lower body. And when he wanted to sleep while in a state of janabah, he would perform wudu as he did for prayer.
