حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ الْحَدَّادُ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ

كَانَتْ تَدَّانُ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا مَا يَحْمِلُكِ عَلَى الدَّيْنِ وَلَكِ عَنْهُ مَنْدُوحَةٌ ؟ قَالَتْ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يُدَانُ وَفِي نَفْسِهِ أَدَاؤُهُ إِلَّا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنَ اللهِ عَوْنٌ فَأَنَا أَلْتَمِسُ ذَلِكَ الْعَوْنَ

Translation

✧ She used to incur debt. It was said to her: What compels you to take on debt when you have an alternative? She said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: No servant incurs debt while intending to repay it except that he has with him help from Allah. So I seek that help.
