حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ وَإِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِيسَى الطَّبَّاعَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كُنْتُ أَنَامُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَرِجْلِي فِي قِبْلَتِهِ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ غَمَزَنِي فَقَبَضْتُ رِجْلِي، فَإِذَا قَامَ بَسَطْتُهَا، قَالَتْ: وَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِي الْبُيُوتِ يَوْمَئِذٍ مَصَابِيحُ

✧ I used to sleep in front of the Prophet ﷺ with my legs in his qibla (direction of prayer). When he wanted to prostrate, he would nudge me, and I would draw up my legs. When he stood up, I would stretch them out again. She said: And there were no lamps in the houses in those days.
