✧ The Messenger of Allah used to pray between finishing the Isha prayer – which you call or name the Atamah – until dawn, eleven rak'ahs, saying the salam after every two rak'ahs and praying witr with one. He would prostrate in his voluntary prayer for as long as one of you would recite fifty verses before raising his head. When the muezzin fell silent after the first call of the Fajr prayer, he would pray two light rak'ahs, then lie on his right side, and the muezzin would come to him and he would go out with him.
