✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to travel, he would draw lots among his wives, and whichever's lot came out, he would take her. Then he mentioned the hadith, except that he said: 'He announced departure at night, and I got up when they announced departure.' And he said: 'Of onyx from Zafar.' And he said: 'They will wail.' And he said: 'I sought my dwelling.' And he said: Urwah said: 'I was told that it was being spread and talked about in his presence, and he would confirm it and listen to it and seek to know it.' Urwah also said: 'No one was named among the people of the slander except Hassan b. Thabit, Mistah b. Uthathah, and Hamnah bt. Jahsh, among others of whom I have no knowledge, except that they were a group, as Allah, Mighty and Majestic is He, said. The greater part of that was said in the presence of Abd Allah b. Ubayy b. Salul.' Urwah said: 'Aishah disliked that Hassan should be reviled in her presence, and she would say: "It was he who said: 'My father, his father, and my honor are a protection for the honor of Muhammad from you.'"' She said: 'Our affair is the affair of the ancient Arabs in regard to purity.' And he said: 'She had co-wives.' And he said: 'By the One who knows the innocence of his family.' And he said: 'Then the domestic animal comes and eats it.' And he said: 'If he is from our brothers of the Khazraj.' And he said: 'Then a man from the Khazraj stood up, and Hassan's mother was his paternal cousin from his clan, and he was Sa'd b. Ubadah, the chief of the Khazraj.' She said: 'Before that he was a righteous man, but zeal overcame him.' And he said: 'My tears stopped.' And he said: 'Her sister Hamnah began to fight on her behalf.' Urwah said: Aishah said: 'By Allah, the man about whom what was said was said used to say: "Glory be to Allah, by the One in whose hand is my soul, I have never uncovered the skirt of any female."' She said: Then he was later killed in the way of Allah, a martyr.
