حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّهَا اشْتَرَتْ بَرِيرَةَ قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَشْتَرِي بَرِيرَةَ وَأَشْتَرِطُ لَهُمُ الْوَلَاءَ ؟ قَالَ: اشْتَرِي، فَإِنَّمَا الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ وَلِيَ النِّعْمَةَ، أَوْ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ.

✧ She bought Barirah. She said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, I will buy Barirah and stipulate the wala' for them? He said: Buy, for the wala' belongs to the one who gives the favor, or to the one who manumits.
