حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْمِقْدَامَ بْنَ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِىءٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَ

رَكِبَتْ عَائِشَةُ بَعِيرًا، فَكَانَ مِنْهُ صُعُوبَةٌ، فَجَعَلَتْ تُرَدِّدُهُ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَكُ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا زَانَهُ، وَلَا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا شَانَهُ.

Translation

✧ ʿĀʾishah rode a camel, and it had some difficulty, so she kept turning it back. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to her, “You must be gentle, for gentleness is not in anything but it adorns it, and it is not removed from anything but it disgraces it.”
