✧ When the Prophet ﷺ passed by those people on the day of Badr, and they were thrown into the well: 'Utbah, Abu Jahl and his companions, he stood over them and said: 'May Allah reward you with evil, O people of a prophet. How bad was the expulsion and how severe the denial!' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how do you speak to a people who have become corpses?' He said: 'You are not more understanding of my words than them, or: they are more understanding of my words than you.'
