حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ وَعَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ عَائِشَةَ: هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْمَلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ شَيْئًا ؟ قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْصِفُ نَعْلَهُ، وَيَخِيطُ ثَوْبَهُ، وَيَعْمَلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ كَمَا يَعْمَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي بَيْتِهِ.

✧ A man asked Aisha, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do any work in his house?" She replied, "Yes, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to mend his shoes, sew his clothes, and do household chores just like any one of you does in their house."
