قَالَ
وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ تَعَوَّذُوا بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ مِنْ هَمْزِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا هَمْزُهُ وَنَفْخُهُ وَنَفْثُهُ؟ قَالَ أَمَّا هَمْزُهُ فَهَذِهِ الْمُوتَةُ الَّتِي تَأْخُذُ بَنِي آدَمَ وَأَمَّا نَفْخُهُ فَالْكِبْرُ وَأَمَّا نَفْثُهُ فَالشِّعْرُ
Translation
✧ And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: Seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan, from his madness, his blowing, and his spitting. They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is his madness, his blowing, and his spitting? He said: As for his madness, it is this seizure that takes hold of the children of Adam. As for his blowing, it is pride. As for his spitting, it is poetry.
