✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was wearing two Omani or Qatari garments. Aishah said to him: These two garments are coarse; you perspire in them and they weigh heavily on you. So-and-so has received some cloth, so send to him and let him sell you two garments on credit until a time of ease. So he sent to him, offering to sell him two garments on credit until a time of ease. He said: I know what Muhammad wants; he only wants to take away my two garments, or: he will not give me my dirhams. That reached the Prophet ﷺ. Shu'bah said: I think he said: He has lied; they know that I am the most God-fearing of them toward Allah, Mighty and Majestic, or he said: the most truthful of them in speech, and the most faithful of them in trust.
