✧ I was ill in Persia, so I used to pray sitting. I asked 'A'ishah about that, and she said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray long portions of the night standing and long portions of the night sitting. When he recited standing, he bowed — or he humbled himself — standing, and when he recited sitting, he bowed sitting.
