حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَتْ سَوْدَةُ امْرَأَةً ثَبِطَةً ثَقِيلَةً، فَاسْتَأْذَنَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُفِيضَ مِنْ جَمْعٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقِفَ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا, قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ اسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ فَأَذِنَ لِي، وَكَانَ الْقَاسِمُ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُفِيضَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقِفَ

Translation

✧ Sawdah was a slow, heavy woman, so she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for permission to depart from Muzdalifah before standing (at the sacred site), and he permitted her. 'A'ishah said: 'I wish I had asked his permission and he had permitted me.' And al-Qasim disliked departing before standing.
