✧ I did not know until Zaynab entered upon me without permission, and she was angry. Then she said to the Messenger of God ﷺ: 'I think that when the little daughter of Abu Bakr dangles her two forelocks for you, you are satisfied.' Then she turned to me, and I turned away from her, until the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Take your turn and defend yourself.' So I turned to her until I saw that her saliva had dried up in her mouth, and she could not reply to me at all. Then I saw the Prophet's ﷺ face beaming.
