Translation

✧ We entered the house of Maymūnah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, and found ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAbbās there. We mentioned ablution due to what fire has touched, and ʿAbd Allāh said: ‘I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ eat something that fire had touched, then pray without performing ablution.’ One of us said to him: ‘Did you see him, O Ibn ʿAbbās?’ He pointed with his hand to his eyes and said: ‘My eyes saw it.’
