حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِسَرِفَ وَقَدْ نَفِسْتُ وَأَنَا مُنَكِّسَةٌ، فَقَالَ لِي: أَنَفِسْتِ ؟ فَقُلْتُ: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَلَا أَحْسِبُ النِّسَاءَ خُلِقْنَ إِلَّا لِلشَّرِّ، فَقَالَ: لَا، وَلَكِنَّهُ شَيْءٌ ابْتُلِيَ بِهِ نِسَاءُ بَنِي آدَمَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me at Sarif when I had given birth and was lying on my back. He said to me: "Have you given birth?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah, and I do not think women were created except for evil." He said: "No, but it is something with which the daughters of Adam are tested."
