حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي مَوْلَاةٌ لِلْفَاكِهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ
نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ قَتْلِ الْجِنَّانِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ فِي الْبُيُوتِ، غَيْرَ ذِي الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ وَالْبَتْرَاءِ، فَإِنَّهُمَا تَطْمِسَانِ الْأَبْصَارَ, وَتَقْتُلَانِ أَوْلَادَ الْحَبَالَى فِي بُطُونِهِمْ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَقْتُلْهُمَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from killing the snakes that live in houses, except the one with two stripes and the short-tailed one, for they cause blindness and cause miscarriages in pregnant women. Whoever does not kill them is not one of us.
