✧ I asked Aishah about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said, "There was no prayer he was more likely to delay, when he was engaged in conversation, than the later isha prayer. He never prayed it and then entered upon me except that he prayed after it four or six rak'ahs. I never saw him protect himself from the ground with anything at all, except that I remember that on a rainy day we placed under him a mat (batt). It is as if I am looking at a hole in it from which water gushed out."
