Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon me with a prisoner. I became distracted from him with the women, and he went away. The Prophet ﷺ came and said, 'What happened to the prisoner?' She said: I got distracted from him with the women, so he left. He said, 'What is wrong with you? May Allah cut off your hand or your hands!' Then he went out and informed the people, so they searched for him and brought him back. He entered upon me while I was turning my hands over. He said, 'What is wrong with you? Have you gone mad?' I said, 'You supplicated against me, so I am turning my hands to see which one will be cut off.' Then he praised Allah and extolled Him, raised his hands, and said, 'O Allah, I am only human; I get angry as humans do. So for any believing man or woman against whom I have supplicated, make it a purification and a cleansing for him.'
