حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ

حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ قَالَلَمَّا أَقْبَلَتْ عَائِشَةُ بَلَغَتْ مِيَاهَ بَنِي عَامِرٍ لَيْلًا نَبَحَتِ الْكِلَابُ قَالَتْ أَيُّ مَاءٍ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا مَاءُ الْحَوْأَبِ قَالَتْ مَا أَظُنُّنِي إِلَّا أَنِّي رَاجِعَةٌ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهَا بَلْ تَقْدَمِينَ فَيَرَاكِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَيُصْلِحُ اللهُ ﷻ ذَاتَ بَيْنِهِمْ قَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَنَا ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ كَيْفَ بِإِحْدَاكُنَّ تَنْبَحُ عَلَيْهَا كِلَابُ الْحَوْأَبِ؟

Translation

✧ Qays narrated: When Aishah approached the waters of Banu Amir at night, the dogs barked. She asked, 'What water is this?' They said, 'The water of al-Haw'ab.' She said, 'I think I should return.' Some of those with her said, 'No, proceed, and the Muslims will see you, and Allah ﷻ will set things right between them.' She said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us one day, "How will it be for one of you when the dogs of al-Haw'ab bark at her?"'
