✧ A guest stayed with 'A'ishah, so she ordered for him a yellow blanket of hers. He slept in it and had a wet dream. He felt too shy to send it back with the trace of the wet dream on it. He said: So he dipped it in water, then sent it back. 'A'ishah said: Why did he ruin our garment for us?! It would have sufficed him to rub it with his fingers. Many a time I rubbed it from the garment of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my fingers.

machine translationAuthentic (ṣaḥīḥ) from the hadith of Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad and Hammām, from ʿĀʾishah, because Ḥafṣ b. Ghiyāth combined the two from al-Aʿmash, and because al-Ashjaʿī, from al-Thawrī, combined the two from Manṣūr. And God knows best.
