✧ Fatimah bt. Abi Hubaysh came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I have been suffering from irregular bleeding.' He said: 'Leave the prayer during the days of your menstruation, then perform ghusl, and perform wudu for every prayer, even if blood drips onto the mat.'

machine translationAmong the things that indicate the weakness of this ḥadīth of al-Aʿmash is that Ḥafṣ b. Ghiyāth transmitted it as a statement of a Companion (mawqūf) from al-Aʿmash and denied that it was traced back to the Prophet (marfūʿ). Asbāṭ b. Muḥammad also transmitted it as mawqūf from al-Aʿmash, from ʿĀʾishah.

machine translationḤafṣ b. Ghiyāth, ʿAthām b. ʿAlī and Asbāṭ b. Muḥammad disagreed with them and narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Ḥabīb, from ʿUrwah, from ʿĀʾishah as mawqūf. Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān said, from al-Thawrī, that he was the most knowledgeable of people about Ḥabīb b. Abī Thābit, and that he claimed Ḥabīb did not hear anything from ʿUrwah. No one other than al-Aʿmash narrated this ḥadīth from Ḥabīb, and it is not authentic.

machine translationThis ḥadīth of Ḥabīb b. Abī Thābit is weak (ḍaʿīf). Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Qaṭṭān, ʿAlī b. al-Madīnī and Yaḥyā b. Maʿīn declared it weak. Sufyān al-Thawrī said: Ḥabīb b. Abī Thābit did not hear anything from ʿUrwah b. al-Zubayr.

machine translationI think Yaḥyā means the objectionable (munkar) ḥadīth of the woman with irregular bleeding (mustaḥāḍah), that she prays even if the blood drips onto the mat.
