حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أُمِّهِ
أَنَّ أُمَّ مُبَشِّرٍ دَخَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي وَجَعِهِ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ فَقَالَتْ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا تَتَّهِمُ بِنَفْسِكَ؟ فَإِنِّي لَا أَتَّهِمُ إِلَّا الطَّعَامَ الَّذِي أَكَلَ مَعَكَ بِخَيْبَرَ وَكَانَ ابْنُهَا مَاتَ قَبْلَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ وَأَنَا لَا أَتَّهِمُ غَيْرَهُ هَذَا أَوَانُ قَطْعِ أَبْهَرِي

✧ Umm Mubashshir entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the illness in which he passed away and said, 'May my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah, what do you suspect in yourself? For I suspect nothing but the food you ate with you at Khaybar.' Her son had died before the Prophet ﷺ. He said, 'And I suspect nothing else. This is the time for the severing of my aorta.'
