حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا وُلِدَ لَهُ غُلَامٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَتَى بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَأَخَذَ بِبَشَرَةِ جَبْهَتِهِ وَدَعَا لَهُ بِالْبَرَكَةِ، فَنَبَتَتْ شَعَرَةٌ فِي جَبْهَتِهِ كَهَيْئَةِ الْقَوْسِ، وَشَبَّ الْغُلَامُ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ زَمَنُ الْخَوَارِجِ أَحَبَّهُمْ، فَسَقَطَتِ الشَّعَرَةُ عَنْ جَبْهَتِهِ، فَأَخَذَهُ أَبُوهُ فَقَيَّدَهُ وَحَبَسَهُ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَلْحَقَ بِهِمْ، قَالَ: فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَوَعَظْنَاهُ وَقُلْنَا لَهُ فِيمَا نَقُولُ: أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ بَرَكَةَ دَعْوَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ وَقَعَتْ عَنْ جَبْهَتِكَ ؟ فَمَا زِلْنَا بِهِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ عَنْ رَأْيِهِمْ، فَرَدَّ اللهُ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] عَلَيْهِ الشَّعَرَةَ بَعْدُ فِي جَبْهَتِهِ وَتَابَ
Translation

✧ That a man had a boy born to him during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ. He brought him to the Prophet ﷺ, and he took hold of the skin of his forehead and prayed for blessing for him. A hair grew on his forehead like a bow, and the boy grew up. When the time of the Kharijites came, he loved them, and the hair fell from his forehead. His father took him, bound him, and imprisoned him, fearing that he would join them. He said: We entered upon him and admonished him, and we said to him, among what we said: 'Do you not see that the blessing of the supplication of the Messenger of God ﷺ has fallen from your forehead?' We did not cease with him until he turned back from their opinion, and God [Mighty and Majestic] returned the hair to his forehead afterward, and he repented.
