✧ Abu Hurayrah used to narrate to us from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: In Friday there is an hour. Then he mentioned the hadith. I said: By Allah, if I went to Abu Sa'id and asked him... Then he mentioned the hadith. Then I left him and entered upon 'Abdullah b. Salam and asked him about it. He said: Allah created Adam on Friday, and he was sent down to the earth on Friday, and his soul was taken on Friday, and on it the Hour will rise, so it is the last hour. Suraij said: So it is the last hour of it. I said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: In prayer, and it is not an hour of prayer. He said: Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: One waiting for prayer is in prayer? I said: Yes, by Allah, it is it.

machine translationMuḥammad b. Isḥāq b. Khuzaymah held that this disagreement concerns his statement, "On it Ādam was created," to the end. As for the statement, "The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday," it is from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, without any doubt.
