✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: "This land is sacred; Allah made it sacred on the day He created the heavens and the earth. It remains sacred by Allah's sanctification until the Day of Resurrection. Killing was not permitted for anyone in it before me, and it will not be permitted for anyone after me until the Hour is established. It was not made permissible for me in it except for an hour of the day. It is sacred, made sacred by Allah, Mighty and Majestic, until the Hour is established. Its thorny plants are not to be cut, its fresh herbage is not to be uprooted, its game is not to be startled, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who announces it." He said: Al-Abbas said, for he was among the people of the land and knew what they could not do without except the idhkhir: "O Messenger of Allah, they cannot do without it, for it is for graves and houses." He said: So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Except for the idhkhir."
