حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَهْلَ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ فَذَكَرُوا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يُدْرِكِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ. قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: وَرَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ، وَوُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُمَا: عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ: قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، وَذَكَرَهُ

✧ I asked the family of al-Hakam b. Sufyan, and they mentioned that he did not meet the Prophet ﷺ. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: Shu'bah and Wuhayb narrated it from Mansur, from Mujahid, from al-Hakam b. Sufyan, from his father, that he saw the Prophet ﷺ, while others said: from Mansur, from Mujahid, from al-Hakam b. Sufyan, who said: I saw the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned it.
