قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ

كَانَ يَدْعُو عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. Abū al-ʿĀliyah
  5. Ibn ʿAbbās
  6. Nabī Allāh ﷺ

✧ He used to supplicate at times of distress: "There is no god but Allah, the Magnificent, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no god but You, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth and Lord of the Noble Throne."
