حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَعَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ
قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قِسْمَةً، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَغَيْرُ هَؤُلَاءِ أَحَقُّ مِنْهُمْ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: إِنَّهُمْ خَيَّرُونِي بَيْنَ أَنْ يَسْأَلُونِي بِالْفُحْشِ، أَوْ يُبَخِّلُونِي، فَلَسْتُ بِبَاخِلٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed a distribution, and I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, are not others more deserving than these?' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'They gave me a choice: either they would demand from me with vulgarity, or they would deem me miserly, but I am no miser.'
