حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَذْكُرُ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ
سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ فَقَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ رَبِّي لَا يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلَّا هُوَ وَلَكِنْ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَشَارِيطِهَا وَمَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا فِتْنَةً وَهَرْجًا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الْفِتْنَةُ قَدْ عَرَفْنَاهَا فَالْهَرْجُ مَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ بِلِسَانِ الْحَبَشَةِ الْقَتْلُ وَيُلْقَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ التَّنَاكُرُ فَلَا يَكَادُ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَعْرِفَ أَحَدًا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the Hour. He said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord; none but He will manifest it at its time. But I will tell you of its signs and what will occur before it. Indeed, before it there will be tribulation and harj." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, tribulation we know, but what is harj?" He said: "In the language of the Abyssinians, killing. And alienation will be cast among the people, so that hardly anyone will recognize anyone."
