✧ Two men from Banu Sulaym, among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, met, and one of them said to his companion: 'I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "Glory be to Allah (Subhan Allah) is half of the Scale, and praise be to Allah (Al-hamdu lillah) fills it, and Allah is Greatest (Allahu Akbar) fills what is between the heaven and the earth, and fasting is half of patience, and ablution is half of faith."'

machine translationAbū Isḥāq al-Sabīʿī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Al-Thawrī, Jarīr b. Ḥāzim, ʿAbdullāh b. al-Mukhtār, Abū al-Aḥwaṣ and Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Abū Isḥāq, from Jarī al-Nahdī, from a man of Banū Sulaym, from the Prophet ﷺ. Likewise Yūnus b. Abī Isḥāq and ʿĀṣim b. Abī al-Najūd narrated it from Jarī al-Nahdī, from a man of Banū Sulaym. Ibn Shawdhab narrated it from Abū Isḥāq, from a man of Banū Sulaym, and did not mention Jarī in it. The first is more correct (aṣaḥḥ).
