حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرُّؤَاسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ سُلَيْطٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَمَّا خَطَبَ عَلِيٌّ فَاطِمَةَ

لَمَّا خَطَبَ عَلِيٌّ فَاطِمَةَ [ ؓ ] قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّهُ لَا بُدَّ لِلْعُرْسِ مِنْ وَلِيمَةٍ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ: عَلَيَّ كَبْشٌ، وَقَالَ فُلَانٌ: عَلَيَّ كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنْ ذُرَةٍ

✧ When Ali proposed to Fatimah ؓ, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A wedding must have a feast.' Sad said: 'I will provide a ram,' and so-and-so said: 'I will provide such-and-such amount of corn.'
