حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بَالْخَنْدَقِ فَأَخَذَ الْكِرْزِينَ فَحَفَرَ بِهِ فَصَادَفَ حَجَرًا فَضَحِكَ قِيلَ مَا يُضْحِكُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ ضَحِكْتُ مِنْ نَاسٍ يُؤْتَى بِهِمْ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ فِي النُّكُولِ يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ

✧ I was with the Prophet ﷺ at the Trench, and he took a pickaxe and dug with it. He struck a stone and laughed. It was said, "What makes you laugh, O Messenger of God ﷺ?" He said, "I laughed at people who will be brought from the east in shackles, being driven to Paradise."
